I haven't posted here in a while, but that's not because I've forgotten. I've just been so incredibly busy with Just Weddings.org. Way too much to do and never enough hours in the day.
So here I am, touching base. For any moms out there who are way too busy to remember what they got onto the internet to look for in the first place, here's a fun video to enjoy.
Sound familiar?

Come Visit Just Weddings! I need your support!!!!
I can't believe I haven't posted here for so long. I've been so overwhelmed since taking over the redesign of Just Weddings.org. Please come check it out to see what all the fuss and hard work has been about. And don't forget to visit our Just Weddings Facebook page and click on Like. Here's a sample of the beautiful wedding inspiration you can see on the blog:
I also posted a review of an incredible series of professional makeup tutorials. For those of you that know me, you'll know that I love makeup. So, writing about a Bridal Makeup Course was second nature.
Come visit us at Just Weddings.org to see what has kept me so busy. I'll try to come back and give updates. Just wait until I write about Wedding Chocolates. Here's one of the chocolate wedding favors I put in our Wedding Shop.
Don't you just wish someone would hand these out at the next party you go to? Yum!!!

Latest update on my new business endeavors
Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I've been busy researching the weddings market like crazy. I'll be starting soon on completely overhauling and redesigning a website on weddings. I won't even tell anyone yet what it is since it looks that horrible right now.
The new site will focus on all the little details that make a wedding unique. We'll have a store on the site for some of the biggest 'details', like wedding favors, invitations, decorations, and cake toppers. The other main part of the site will be lots of informational articles, photos and videos to help the to-be-weds with decisions about the big day.
In the meantime, you can check out a little 'test site' that I'm doing called Funny Wedding Cake Toppers. I'm using it to both test out that market and use an internet marketing process taught by Ed Dale from The Challenge. You can also see the network of mini-sites I'm using for that niche at http://www.funnyweddingcaketoppers.posterous.com.
For all those moms who wouldn't mind doing a renewal of vows or second wedding, take a look at this vintage wedding collage by Playingwithbrushes on Flickr:
What about this gorgeous wedding cake?

The cakes alone inspire me. And the honeymoon, of course.

PS - I'll let you know when the site launches properly. You can follow info I post about weddings in the meantime on Twitter (JustWeddings101).

Mood Buttons You Can't Wear to Work
I'm so lucky I have friends who get funny emails. These really made me crack up.
WARNING: There are a few with not so pristine language.
The last one is definitely my favorite!

Simple-ology Course on Blogging
I'm evaluating a multi-media course on blogging from the folks at Simpleology. For a while, they're letting you snag it for free if you post about it on your blog.
It covers:
- The best blogging techniques.
- How to get traffic to your blog.
- How to turn your blog into money.
I'll let you know what I think once I've had a chance to check it out. Meanwhile, go grab yours while it's still free.
I have no idea how good this course will be, if at all. I looked up the simpleology website and they were selling a software and service for making your life simple and give you more energy. I didn't sign up since it was one of those extremely long, pushy sales letters that I can't stand. Since I don't give away my credit card number unless it's something I'm sure I want I surfed away. We'll see how this blogging course is. There are so many out there that I'm very wary.

PS: There are some great sites that give advice on internet marketing by people like Lynn Terry, Dan Raines, and Rosalind Gardner (among others).

Snow Day at the FAA
This is scary and funny at the same time. My son sent this audio link to me of a child (off from school for a snow day) helping direct air traffic at JFK in New York.

Gift of an Ordinary Day
A friend just sent me this video on YouTube that has a reading from a book called The Gift of the Ordinary Day. It is very moving and I needed to get out the tissues, but it is a must for all parents. Take a few minutes to watch it.
